As per the plan, the celebrations began on Wednesday, 13th February
1929. At the outset, the late Anant Bachhaji Patil- Desai Gavkar, who belonged to the senior branch of the Patil clan, made coconut offering to 18 different deities that included the village deity of the village Paat, the local deity and the family deity. At night, the procession of the other village deities such as Shree Rawalnath, Bhootnath, Maauli and others arrived with their ‘Palkhis’ or carriers, and their symbols. On Thursday, 14th February, 1929, the Brahmins carried out the consecration of the new image and Shree Devi was devotedly installed on the throne in the sanctum sanctorum.
On Friday, on the auspicious day of Magh Shuddha Shashthi, 15th February 1929, the parents of late Ramchandra Krishnaji Patkar, namely, the late Krishnaji Shivaji aka Nana Patil and his wife Saubhagyawati Bhagirathibai, carried out the Pran Pratishtha or the consecration of the icon amidst the presence of thousands of devotees, the resonance of mantras by the Brahmins, the melodious music and fireworks. The ritual was conducted under the expert guidance of the very knowledgeable Vedic scholar late Shri. Babukaka Aravkar and Alavnibua from Andurle and Sawantwadi.
The artists who worked tirelessly and with commitment and helped complete the work within the stipulated time, were honoured by Shrimant Bapusaheb Maharaj. These included Mestry the late Bala Babu Thavi Kunkavlekar who sculpted the Devi’s idol; the mason, late Shri. Narayan Vitthal Kaskar who created the magnificent dome of the temple and the contractor of the work of the shrine, Baba Sonu Sutar Andurlekar.
